The Great Day of Geriatric Dressage

The Great Sport of Geriatric Dressage returns to Queensland State Equestrian Centre in 2024. Come along and cheer on your favourite equestrian rider!

This competition is open to mature riders aged 50 years and over at all levels of dressage, from Preparatory 1 to FEI.

The South Burnett Equestrian Group created the dressage series for older horses and riders. The focus of the series is on safety, horse welfare, correct training, and having fun!

Riders can choose from any Equestrian Australia or FEI test, including Freestyles. They can wear and use any equipment they like, provided it is safe and the welfare of the horse is addressed. Riders do not need white jodhpurs, plaiting or flash outfits.

Spectators are welcome to attend.

A completed Horse health declaration(PDF, 676KB) is required for all horses entering the Queensland State Equestrian Centre.
