QSEC is committed to the health and safety of all visitors to our venue - both equine and human. We are more than willing to assist you with the biosecurity requirements and best practices when holding an event.
As part of our above commitment, any horses coming on to the QSEC site that are known to be directly interacting with the public (pony rides, breed displays etc.) must be vaccinated for Hendra Virus.
QSEC and Equestrian Queensland recently presented a workshop for event organisers and interested parties covering topics such as what is biosecurity, what are your responsibilities to your workers and volunteers, how to prevent a biosecurity incident and what to do should an incident occur. To find out more about the information presented in this workshop, please visit the Equestrian Queensland website.
