QSEC Clinic: Horsemanship with Ken May

Main Arena

Held in QSEC's Main Arena this 2 day clinic is designed to suit all levels and any discipline of riding. Physical and mental control of the horse is the catch-cry at these clinics. Physical control of the feet and legs to the ground and mental control of the horses mind to allow the horse to relax and absorb the riders commands. Total body control is necessary to achieve physical control of the horse and this is achieved by dissecting the horse into 4 sections i.e head, shoulders, ribs and hips. Riders body position through the gaits is also considered very important at this stage.
